This workshop is targeted at teachers and supervisors in Family Medicine, who are involved in developing and implementing Objective Structured Clinical Examinations (OSCE). Drawing on years of experience in OSCE station development and relevant literature, this workshop will examine aspects of the OSCE process, from conceptualization, through design and implementation, including quality assurance.

Tasleem Ras is the postgraduate programmes convenor in the Division of Family Medicine at the University of Cape Town. Since 2016, he has been co-ordinating the OSCE writing group for the College of Family Physicians of South Africa, and has overseen significant transitions in this space, including the implementation of online OSCEs in the COVID-19 era.

Jacob Shabani is the Chair of the Family Department at the Aga Khan University East Africa. Since 2014, he has been involved in the development and coordination of writing and delivery of OSCE examinations for Aga Khan University
