Quality & Safety in African Primary Care: Shaping the Agenda Together.

This interactive session introduces the WONCA Working Party on Quality & Safety and explores quality and safety in African primary care. Brief inputs and discussion will surface experiences and interests, building momentum and engagement ahead of the WONCA Africa conference workshop in Botswana.

Assoc Prof Klaus B von Pressentin MBChB, MMed(FamMed), FCFP(SA), PhD Head of Division of Family Medicine, University of Cape Town; Chair, WONCA Working Party on Quality & Safety. His work focuses on strengthening primary health care-orientated health systems, quality improvement, and collaborative research in African and global contexts.

Dr Mercy Wanjala MBChB, MMed (Family Medicine) Family physician and primary health care leader in Kenya; Executive Member, WONCA Working Party on Quality & Safety. She has extensive experience in quality improvement and in advancing regional collaboration and capacity building in Africa.
