The conduct and use of research is an essential component of evidence-based practice and decision making. Although most clinicians are familiar with evidence-based health care, communicating with and engaging other stakeholders in the use of evidence can be challenging. In this e-workshop Lynn Hendricks will provide insight into what knowledge translation is, hoe messages can be tailored to different audiences, and how to implement engaging knowledge translation activities.

Ms Lynn Hendricks is a Research Psychologist who lectures on knowledge translation and conducts community-based research in the Division of Health Systems and Public Health in the Department of Global Health, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at Stellenbosch University.

Prof Bob Mash is an established researcher and Head of Family Medicine and Primary Care at Stellenbosch University. He will host this workshop as co-ordinator of the PRIMAFAMED network.
