This workshop is targeted at notive and early career researchers who want to submit their research to a scientific journal. The workshop will look at the structure and content of the typical journal article – introduction, methods, results, discussions, and conclusion. The workshop will also look at how to prepare, draft and edit your work, focusing particularly on the arguments in the introduction and discussion sections. There will be time to discuss and answer questions on preparing your manuscripts.

Prof Bob Mash is the Editor-in-Chief of the African Journal of Primary Health Care and Family Medicine. (where many people submit their work). He is a Distinguish Professor of Family Medicine and Primary Care at Stellenbosch University, South Africa and has published over 200 journal articles.

Prof Sunanda Ray is an assistant editor of the AJPHCFM and Extraordinary Professor in the Department of Medical Education, University of Botswana Faculty of Medicine. Her areas of research are in sexual and reproductive health, health professions’ education and health system strengthening.
